Sompo Japan Insurance Co. of America (SJA) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc., a Japanese property and casualty insurance company which celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2008.

In January 2004, we established SJA's special underwriting and customer service arm named SJA Insurance Agency LLC (SJAA) in Charlotte, North Carolina. Through the strategic establishment of SJAA, our capacity to provide better services expanded dramatically so that it would satisfy our customer’s demands in today's dynamic business environment. We also have marketing and support offices in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Our focus is to assist our customers to manage their risks, but when a claim does happen, we will respond to the claim with speed and professionalism. We have teamed with Broadspire, a leading provider of claims and integrated services, to provide high quality, tailored service through timely, professional claim handling for WC, Auto and General Liability. Based on this, our customers will be able to access claim professionals located in field offices covering 50 States and can report claims 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
